In 2021-2022, Humanities in the City will host Humanities in Los Angeles: a dynamic, multifaceted project that includes Youth Workshops with Public Youth Presentations, a Public Lecture Series, and an Exhibition and Publication. The Humanities in Los Angeles project activates experiential humanities learning for youth participants and multigenerational audiences, showcasing the many ways interdisciplinary humanistic inquiry can shape individual and public life. Dedicated to education access and equity, the Workshops are the core of our programming and provide learning experiences for students from public high schools in downtown Los Angeles, Westlake/MacArthur Park, Koreatown and Echo Park.
